*There is a $35 processing fee.  The Downtown Art Center Gallery is a non-profit Gallery and we do not have “pay to show” events, unless the gallery is rented from us.  We fund our own shows and only request a processing fee due to the large amount of submissions we receive.  We keep all images on file and are committed towards finding opportunities for emerging artists.

Text Box: Los Angeles sprawl has always confused those outside of L.A. Los Angeles has its pockets of culture, but is complex in fully grasping its meaning. We expect this show to reveal images of Los Angeles that are uncommon to the outsider and give an insight to what the culture of LA means. We are not looking for cliché images of L.A.

What you need to submit:

1. CD with jpeg images.  We will not be returning CD’s.                    Each image needs to be identified with a title or number.

2. Name, Phone, Email and Website.

3. Check (made out to “ECF” – our parent organization) for $35*

Deadline for submissions: December 29th, 2008

Early submissions allow us more time to review the work.  A glut of submission on the due date limits our time to review each artist.  Please try to get all submissions in early.
